Someday We'll Know

I found your letter, Jon, so it's in the archive.

Psalm 77, today's Luther Sem devotional, doesn't answer the question either, but it does give a historical perspective of the Messianic thread, of the willful God of all creation deliberately setting apart a people through whom the Redeemer can become a mere man.  To make possible the redemption of all mankind.  And what about those swept away in a horrid flood yet "innocent"?  Don't have that answer.  Guess that's why Pastor Mark says ALL are saved; they've already been to hell and back in their present lifetime ("their" being all of us, I guess).  If this were God's plan, however, why have the great chunks of his word stress "belief", "faith", "be born again"...??  Someday we'll know.
