Internal Rhymes?

I'ambs not very
able to haiku like you--
internal rhymes count?

but seriously, folks...

this is seriously great stuff! and fun. I was already thinking of a poem about my fecund & amorous newts in the back of my classroom, but I think I needed the inspiration of the still water visual (and what lurks beneath), the limerick-pub humor, the form of haiku, and so I've revised my newt poem accordingly, below.

We had a very nice dinner yesterday after the Masopust festivities. A couple of students who graduated in 2006 came by--they're very interesting: Asen Geshakov is my all-time best Model UN 'product', having done wonderful things for Warwick University along those lines, and Andrei Tolstoi, great-great-grand nephew of Lev, is beginning a comparative lit and film doctoral program at Yale--and in the serendipity of our conversation I brought up Still Water Symposia. Neither of these sites use the free and aesthetic-minded website-creator at wordpress.org which, I think, would be as easy as my Lamken's Philology Central blogsite was to create and maintain, a big difference being my eBlogger was only 100 subscriptions by my invite, and Wordpress, from what I understand, is far less limited. I'll leave that to the techo-minded. For now, let's hear from our newts and those who spy in:
