The travels of a merry soul
allow the world to see the being
we all should be—blessed to
bring on blessings, loved as love
reflects itself, sometimes dimly in
uncertain days, but face-to-face
in heaven’s light. Marian is there.
And has been while on earth,
being your greatest fan—that’s
the Good News she has made
familiar, good news every day,
seeking ways to say it through a
card game, a backyard bar-b-que,
the gardening that carries on in
Sue, the smile of Bob and John.
And countless more. ‘Can-do’
translates to an I-love-you, as
you and I and everyone now can,
in fact, do: we can celebrate
beyond the barriers of pace-
makers and fate, the kisses of
a water dog, the meetings all too
fleeting as we hug each other bye,
a reason that an angel doesn’t die.
